Obituary for Patricia K. DellaRocco (O'Connor)

Patricia Kearns O’Connor DellaRocco, 82, entered peacefully in to eternal rest, on Monday March 27, 2017, after having suffered with Alzhiemers for many years, she was a trooper and happy till the end. She was the high school sweetheart and beloved wife of the late Pasquale “Del” DellaRocco. Their love spanned over 70 years. Patricia was born on Feb. 2, 1935 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Henry Sexton and Mae Agnes (Kearns) O’Connor. She worked for J. Homestock and Levitz Furniture for many years and was a great artist and furniture maker. An avid health nut with six pack abs, she started the Presidential Fitness program for the town of Enfield. Patricia volunteered for many years as a gym teacher for St. Martha’s School. She and Del were avid gardeners and she was co chairman of the Women’s Guild; Garden Committee. Patricia loved time with friends and family as well as traveling, having spent many winters in Myrtle Beach with Del, she was high spirited and loved to laugh, Patricia loved life to its fullest, she received most silly in high school. A wonderful mother, grandma and great friend, Patricia leaves two sons Robert DellaRocco and Mark DellaRocco & fiancée Cindy Bellico and a daughter Susan DellaRocco & companion Doug Muller, her two-cherished grand-daughters Zoe Crimson DellaRocco and Iris Rushford. She also leaves her sister Joan Wilcock, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by two brothers Henry and Peter O’Connor and her son-in-law Michael Rushford.
Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Sunday April 9, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Memorial Service with Fr. John Melnick officiating. She loved flowers and would be greatly accepted or memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
