Obituary for Shirley B. Lizotte (Arel)

Shirley  B.  Lizotte (Arel)
Shirley B. (Arel) Lizotte, 89, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday April 7, 2017 at Kimberly Hall-North in Windsor. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Joseph A. Lizotte. Shirley was born on Feb. 2, 1928 in Springfield, MA to the late Theodore J. and Mildred (Emerson) Arel. She grew up and attended schools in Springfield, MA and had resided in Suffield for three years and in Enfield before that for over 20 years. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. Shirley loved to crochet, the challenge of puzzles, spending time with family especially her grandchildren, as well as holiday events.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Lee (Lizotte) Gardner & son-in-law Richard of Suffield and her son Wayne Lizotte & daughter-in-law Tyce of Maine, her beloved grandchildren; Leeanne Lawrence & husband Rob of Stafford Springs, Neil Gardner of Suffield, Timothy Gardner of MN, Lisa Lizotte Mills of GA, Mistie Londo & husband Dave of MA, Nicole Milley & husband Brad of MA, Mark Stewart of MA and Tom Lizotte of MT, several great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, along with many nieces & nephews, especially Lillian's children Linda, Sue, Cindy, Bud and their families. Besides her husband and parents Shirley was predeceased by her son Raymond Albert Lizotte and her sister & best friend Lillian (Arel) Rollins. Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Kimberly Hall-North and the staff of Masonicare Partners Hospice Program.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday April 23, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. Shirley’s family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Enfield Street Cemetery Enifeld. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Kimberly Hall-North of Windsor,Alzheimer's Unit & Research 1 Emerson Dr. Windsor, CT 06095 or the American Cancer Society CT Chapter, 825 Brook St. I-91 Tech Ctr.
