Rita (Hayden) Argenta-Swan 88, of Enfield, CT & Houston, TX entered into eternal life peacefully on Monday Feb. 13, 2006 in Texas after a short illness. She was born Feb, 8 1918 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Martin and Dehlia (Bedard) Hayden. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grand & great grandmother, sister and aunt, Rita's life revolved mostly around her family and enjoyed the time she spent traveling with her with her husband Wes.
Rita is survived by her beloved husband, Wesley Swan, a son, Barry Argenta & his fiancee, Sanlyn Serani of Cromwell, a daughter, Donna Pitlik of Houston, TX, a daughter, Linda Burnell & her husband, Albert of Enfield and a daughter, Gayle Combs & her husband Bob of Stafford Springs, her 12 loving grandchildren; Kenny, Sheila, Melissa, Rob, Pam, Deb and Rich, Michael, Jamie, Devin, Mark and Matthew and her 21 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Marion DeSorbo of Woodbury, her niece, Doreen and her nephew, Lex. Rita was predeceased by her first husband William "Bill” Argenta and two brothers, Harold and Bud Hayden. A Memorial Service in celebration of Rita's life will be held at 3pm on Sat. Feb. 25, 2006 from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, Rita's family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 1 to 3pm. Interment will take place in St. Edward's Cemetery, Stafford Springs at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe made to the Allied-Enfield Stars 3 Pearson Way Enfield, CT 06082.
